Lunch Hour Yoga Mix

Tues/Thursday 12:15-1

45 minutes devoted to our core muscles- abs, glutes, inner thighs, pelvic floor and back. Class begins with 5 - 10 minutes of focused vinyasa, followed by heat generating exercises to warm up from the inside out. The rest of the class is dedicated to a "get the job done" style that guarantees to ignite the internal flame. All levels of practice welcome. Open Level


Sunrise Flow Yoga

A wonderful way to start your day! Prana Flow Yoga that emphasize finding the balance between the active solar energy and the more receptive lunar energy within us all.  Friday a.m. is a benefit which is included in all current Colorado Fitness memberships.  Friday's practice tends to promote the softer lunar energy that we need at the weeks end.  Open Level.

Prenatal Stretch, Strengthen & Relax

The practice of Yoga, linked with the breath will bring awareness to your body, mind and spirit, and help you connect with your growing baby. The postures help to strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. They will also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica.

Inside you is an innate wisdom that intuitively understands the natural process of birth. We help you reconnect with this wisdom, guiding you through a class specifically designed for the ever-evolving journey through pregnancy, to the birth of your child.A safe, open community with your instructor and other pregnant women, allows you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing. No prior yoga experience necessary. This class is currently set up as a session class for January and March of 2012.

Intermediate Prana Flow Tuesdays at 6pm

Prana Flow is a form of yoga that is based upon intelligent sequencing, which leads the student through a vinyasa style flow with the intent of preparing the body for "peak asanas" which happen towards the end of class.  Poses that you may have formerly thought were out of reach can often become a reality through this progressive method of sequencing.  This Tuesday night class is for those yoga students who maintain a regular yoga practice and who have been studying for a minimum of 3 years.

Tue /Thur Sadhana Flow Yoga

The term Sadhana, in Sanskrit, means spiritual practice. Coming from many different yoga traditions, this practice will focus on the essence of yoga, which is an instrument to reveal our authentic selves. All levels are welcome! Thursday mornings are included in the current Colorado Fitness membership.

Vinyasa Yoga Class Wed. 5:30pm

Move your body to the beat of trance dance, hip-hop, and contemporary music. Practice incorporates sun salutations with various strength building asanas including standing poses, balancing postures, backbends and inversions. Session ends with meditation and relaxation.

Some yoga expereince is recommended - However, instructor welcomes all levels.


Yin Yoga Workshops

In Yin Yoga we will hold the poses for several minutes to stretch deeply into the connective tissue around the joints.  By relaxing into the postures, Yin Yoga will help you to find stillness in the body, breath, and mind.  This practice is the perfect compliment to a more vigorous "Yang" style of yoga such as vinyasa. Yin is a a peaceful and quiet practice. Fall dates TBA.


Hip Hop / Body Pump Workshops!

Freestyle vinyasa yoga session with the added benefit of weight training.  Come practice to the latest hip hop sounds! No dance experience needed - but feel free to move to the beat of a lively sountrack! 


Western State College Students may take yoga for both credit and noncredit with Susan.

Fit-lates with Betsy Folkerth
Wednesdays 9-10 a.m.
Come and enjoy a twist to basic Pilates - incorporating , core strengthening, ball & band work, and of course Pilates! Start your day of feeling energized and refreshed - classes are Wednesdays @ 9 am.  Please wear comfortable clothing, a smile, and we'll  provide the rest!
 

Gentle/Restorative Yoga Offered by Kellyn Kirch & Delaney Keating Mondays at 7 pm with Kellyn and Thursdays at 6 pm with Delaney

Gentle Yoga and Restorative classes are structured around rejuvenating and healing the body. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and straps are often used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably. These classes move at a slower pace and focus on stretching all areas of the body, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles. Floor work will be optional. Those with medical conditions, please check with your physician if you have any concerns about attending yoga. Kellyn's Monday class is free to all Hooks on Fitness members.

 

Yoga Chill with Jennifer Vanatta

This class is free for all Colorado Fitness members!  Join Jennifer for a mellow end to the middle of your week.  This class is an all-levels class with a slower pace and welcoming vibe! 

 

Sunday Community Yoga 6-7 pm- Friends for $5 with Jennifer V

Sanctuary Punchcard holders, bring a friend for $5!  This is an all-levels class.  The icing on the weekend cake!  Whether you're spent your weekend recreating or lounging this class will surely bring it all together and prepare you for the week ahead. 

 

Mommy & Me Yoga with Kim McNamara

Mondays at 9:30 a.m.

Bring your little one and fly like an eagle, stretch like a giraffe and walk like a gorilla!  This class will get you and your child breathing and moving in a fun, engaging atmosphere.  No experience necessary!  Just bring a smile and a positive attitude.  No kids classes on RE1J holidays. 

 

Kids Yoga

Wednesday 4:45 - 5:15 with Kim McNamara

Kids are natural yogis!  Kids will explore the use of breath and movement, learning how their bodies move in space.  Balancing, Stretching & Strengthening helps a growing body gain confidence and health.
